Who Is THAT?

He looks like such a big kid. What happened to my little baby boy?

We toured pre-schools this week. We got a call from the Child Development Center where Elias has been on the "waiting list" for two full years. Yes, it is ridiculous.

So Eli and Lena both may start pre-school. In August. Yes again with the ridiculousness. We have to decide NOW and give them money to hold a spot in August. I think it was easier for me to get into college. (UT anyway.)

It is a very difficult decision. We've got a great nanny and we don't want to let her go. There is so much to be said for one-on-one care of your little ones. Especially when you know you have someone who loves kids, and even better, loves your kids.

We have talked to Clarke (our nanny) about it. She has years of experience working with children and in pre-schools and she thinks by the time Eli would start in August, he would totally flourish in that environment. I have some concerns about the fact that Lena will only be sixteen months in August, but she just dives into everything so she will most likely be ready too. Looks like the only person not quite ready will be me.

Once we've made the switch, it's done. Go figure Clarke has a life of her own and will not be waiting idly by for us to figure things out. So I am going to heartache a little more next week and then we'll decide. I am thinking all fingers are pointing to Elias and Alena Mae joining the ranks of the big kids...
